Heritage Square

Shutter Stage
Sit in the shade on log benches and enjoy the sound of local musicians for free. Listen to many different music groups singing a variety of gospel, country, folk and pop music. The stage acts are managed by a music committee and musicians sign up for a one-hour time slot each year. Check back for a full schedule for this year's fair.

Doud Cabin
Step into history and visit our charming little log cabin, one of the county's original homesteads, at the fair! This rustic cabin offers a unique chance to experience life as it was for early settlers. Watch demonstrations of traditional rope-making and ice cream-making, where you can even try your hand at creating these timeless crafts. From old-fashioned skills to homestead storytelling, there's something for everyone to enjoy and learn. Bring the whole family and discover the simple joys of pioneer life in this authentic, hands-on experience at the county fair!
Sunnyside School House
Step back in time and experience the charm of a bygone era by visiting our little country schoolhouse at the county fair! Nestled among the fairgrounds, this quaint schoolhouse offers a delightful glimpse into the past, where you can explore vintage school desks, blackboards, and artifacts that bring history to life. Join us for interactive lessons, old-fashioned games, and a chance to learn about the traditions of rural education. Whether you’re a history buff or simply looking for a nostalgic escape, the country schoolhouse promises a fun and educational experience for all ages!

Kiddie Barn
Come and visit the baby animals from 10am to 10pm daily during the fair.
Contact Shelly Gilbertson if you want to exhibit an animal in the kiddie barn.
Ted's Farmyard
Come to the farmyard and play with peddle tractors, dig in the corn sandbox, explore the barn with educational exhibits and see the corn and sunflower garden. Parents can sit in a shady spot and watch their children play.

Robotics
The Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference building is under construction but there will be hands on activities for kids during the fair.

Scavenger Hunt
A scavenger hunt will runThursday, Friday, and Saturday. 2 Categories: Ages 14 and under and Ages 15 and over. There is no fee to enter. New this year is that while supplies last, each completed entry will be able to choose a small prize. Then there will be a drawing each day after 6 p.m. from the qualified entries for $5 cash for 14 and under and $10 cash for 15 and over. All entries must be submitted before 6 pm to be considered for that day’s drawing. Pick up forms at the Fair Office or online. Winners will be notified by email or text. Limit one entry per person per year.
